Bill Dyer is best known for spearheading one of the first single-vineyard wine programs in Napa: producing wines from Three Palms Vineyard, Winery Lake, and Diamond Mountain in his position as winemaker with Sterling Vineyards. An acclaimed enological consultant both in Napa Valley and internationally, he was instrumental in the recent commercial and critical success of wines from British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley. Bill and his wife Dawnine co-own Dyer Vineyard, a noted Cabernet Sauvignon producer located in the Diamond Mountain appellation. Bill has served on the boards of several local wine industry groups. He retains his collegial curiosity about his former major, philosophy, and as a longtime mycologist can frequently be found in the woods of Napa & Sonoma during the mushroom-hunting season.
